Blue Magic
If Darkness is the divinity that makes me have visions I've never had, Silence is the sanctitiy that makes me hear voices I've never heard of. - The Singularity
A mundane glass of water sitting idle overnight by the bed gets transformed into a sparkling blue potion in the hands of the unforgiving photographer!

Arc de Triomphe
This is a massive monument in the heart of Paris. It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle, also known as the Place de l'Étoile. The triumphal arch honors those who fought for France, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars. On the inside and the top of the arc there are all of the names of generals and wars fought. Underneath is the tomb of the unknown soldier from World War I.
The monument stands 49.5 metres (162 ft) in height, 45 metres (148 ft) wide and 22 meters (72 ft) deep.
The blue structure seen to the right of the monument is the Eiffel Tower.

Paris From The Eiffel
This is a view of Paris as seen from the tip of the Eiffel Tower. The river flowing across is the Seine. The platform of the Eiffel from where we witnessed this scene was quite cold and very windy. It was hard to get a 2 second exposure in spite of being equipped with a tripod.

Tour Eiffel
The Eiffel Tower (French: Tour Eiffel) is a must see destination in the world. Some facts about this majestic monument (from Wikipedia):
>1. It is named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel
>2. It is the tallest building in Paris
>3. More than 200,000,000 have visited the tower since its construction in 1889, making it the most visited paid monument in the world
>4. Including the 24 m (79 ft) antenna, the structure is 325 m (1,063 ft) high, about 81 floors in a conventional building
There are three levels in this structure and visitors are allowed till the third level. If you are strong enough, you can as well use the stair case! There are two groups of elevators. One that takes you till the first and second levels and another that takes you all the way up to the third and the highest level.
At the third level, you can see the whole of Paris. The view is simply breathtaking. Winds are incredibly strong here. If there had been no metal grill here, we could be easily swept away by the wind. Add to it the fact that it gets real cold in Paris in winter.
One interesting fact is that even at the tip of the Eiffel Tower, there is a well maintained washroom, just in case you thought of doing your thing at a historical place and height.

My Love. My Obsession.
This probably will be my last G7 photo that will make it to Flickr. My good ol' G7 has been rendered obsolete and powerless by this wonder machine - Canon EOS 50D. Yes, this is a relatively new camera and I fell in love with it the day I heard about its qualities. It has been quite an impatient wait since then.
Today, here I am, holding this very jewel in my hands. Photography specialists would immediately recognize the characteristic red ring here. Now I run the terrible risk of catching the 'L' disease!
I'm sure you folks will enjoy the pictures even more henceforth.
